Coming out of a season marked by divorce and legal battles, everything around me felt unstable. It wasn’t just that I felt broken — my situation was broken. The future felt uncertain, relationships were strained, and the life I thought I had built was unraveling. In that turmoil, I began to see that my move to Charleston was not random but purposeful. I came to understand that in times of trouble — when circumstances fall apart and control slips away — that is often when God calls the loudest. As I continued writing, the message became clear: no matter how far someone runs or how fractured their world becomes, God is calling them by name. “Heaven’s Calling” captures that realization and became the first song I ever had professionally produced and recorded.
