In 2014, while still living in Delray Beach, I traveled to Key West for Halloween and met a girl who worked as a dolphin trainer in Key Largo. We began a long-distance relationship that required frequent drives back and forth, but at the time no distance felt too far. During one weekend apart, feeling the weight of missing her, I wrote “For You” as a simple expression of devotion. The song reflects that willingness to go wherever love leads.
